THE STAIN OF POLITICAL SIN...

Political sin,
Taints life, again and again,
Ruining the lives of ordinary men,
Since way back when:
It doesn't matter that some are born into democracy,
All face the same promises, the same hypocrisy,
Being led to confusion,
By leaders mastered in delusion.
And yet, the masses take it,
While they complain, they live in regret,
Hoping that one day,
A new order will come to stay.
They plod on with their lives, full of hope,
As they often are barely able to cope;
Ignoring that government rule has left them little edge,
Though to their birth land they solemnly pledge.
It is so sad to see the people of the world being pushed down,
By those who smile with the face of a foolish clown;
When will they understand,
When will they take a stand,
When will they demand,
That they have fair rule from a fair hand???
